Ram, U.S. Davis Cup Team move on to Final 8 in Malaga

ZHUHAI - Rajeev Ram and the U.S. Davis Cup team are moving on to Malaga for the Davis Cup Final 8 November 19-24, 2024. The U.S. joins Argentina, Australia, Canada, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Spain in the knock-out stage of “The World Cup of Tennis.”

Coached by Bryan Brothers, Bob and Mike Bryan, the U.S. team consists of doubles duo Ram and Austin Krajicek as well as Brandon Nakashima, Reilly Opelka, and Mackenzie McDonald.

Ram, competing in his fourth straight Davis Cup representing the U.S., and Krajicek won two of their three matches in Zhuhai. They defeated Chile’s Barrios and Soto (4-6, 6-4, 7-6) September 11. Two days later, they overcame Slovakia’s Gombos and Klein (6-7, 7-6, 10-1). The duo fell to Germany’s Krawietz and Puetz (1-6, 6-7) the following day. Ram is (10-3) over his Davis Cup doubles career since his debut in 2021.

The Final 8 is set to take place on the hard courts of Palacio Deportes Martín Carpena in Malaga.
